Mendocino Farms - Plano: Reviews & Ratings
Mendocino Farms is so yummy I wish I could dine here so much more often! My 4 stars is simply my disappointment in the cost. The Farm Club is so hearty, delicious and flavorful. One afternoon I stumbled upon this when I was visiting Legacy West for something else and grabbed the Farm Club to go. It was delicious! So when my hubby & I found ourselves here a few days later running errands, I was looking forward to the Farm Club again. I know a sandwich can just be a sandwich, but the bread is a HUGE part and this bread holds when you eat the sandwich, it doesn't fall apart. It doesn't get soggy with the spread and the turkey has a great taste too. But ugh $12.50 plus tax for a sandwich is just too hard to swallow. While my hubby and I sat there eating our sandwiches we were both shocked and bummed the two sandwiches in front of us cost us $30! If dropping $12-$15 for a sandwich is in your budget I highly recommend Mendocino Farms!
Today was my first visit after seeing it advertised via the City of Plano #PlanoFoodies program. I had a hard time deciding on which salad or sandwich to get. I ended up with a seasonal salad (goat cheese, chicken, peaches, more). OMG - it is SO good (and I'm sad this is seasonal and may be rotated off.) I also picked up the Farm Club sandwich for my husband, so I can't comment on it, but it looked great! The sandwich comes with a small bag of chips. Sure, it's not cheap. Entree salads are going to be $10 or more (even at the work cafeteria.) It might be slightly more expensive than something like Jason's Deli, but Legacy West in general is a bit more pricey. At lunch during the workweek, it gets a bit busy. I got my food to go, and I had to wait a while as many orders were being prepared. I'm so glad I stopped here and plan to stop in again soon!!!
Loved the chicken hummus vegan wrap. Delicious, spicy. I opted out of the pita chips and pickled onions. The garlic sauce is delicious. Also loved the side dish basil pesto pasta. Online order and pickup was super convenient and quick! They place the to gos on the rack near the side door that opens to the garages. Easy to grab and go during lunch hours. My lunch was ready before the time listed when I ordered. Truely appreciate it.
I had the half sandwich with soup or side. The not fried chicken sandwich was excellent. I really loved the mustard relish. I got the pasta salad and I would pass on it next time since it had a lot of limp and stringy arugula in it. Service was meh.
I came here for brunch with friends and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly—usually I only get a quick “hi/bye” at places, but the person who took my order actually made some light small talk, which was really nice. The food was delicious and felt healthy without sacrificing flavor. The only thing I wish is that they had coffee on the drink menu, but other than that everything was perfect.
Perfect Lunch Spot! Stopped by Mendocino Farms at Legacy West for lunch and it did not disappoint! The corn and hatch soup was packed with flavor, and the steak sandwich was absolutely amazing — tender, juicy, and full of bold taste. Add in that guava drink (SO good) and you’ve got the perfect combo. Chill vibe, quick service, and fresh, delicious food. Definitely one of my new favorite lunch spots in Plano!
Excellent salads. Tried the seasonal Pink lady apple goat cheese salad and my wife had the Thai mango salad and both were sublime. Eye opening, made me quickly realize how shit the salads I've eaten recently are in comparison. I had my first bite and was instantly won over, this place is going into permanent food rotation. Very thoughtful flavor and texture mixes, dressing coated everything nicely, and the amount of each ingredient held out perfectly. I didn't feel like I ran out of toppings, ratio was good to the last bite. Very kind staff as well, seem genuinely interested in us having a good experience. Place is clean, music isn't too loud, and my GOD the fresh drinks are delish. I would come here just to order an agua fresca. If you're craving a flavorful well crafted salad, give this place a shot!
Restaurant Review: Mendocino Farms – Plano, TX I’m officially putting Mendocino Farms on my “go back ASAP” list! This charming spot has an inviting atmosphere and a beautiful patio that just makes you want to linger a little longer. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was warm and welcoming. I ordered the Peach Salad (seasonal and SO good!) — super fresh, light, and full of flavor. My dining partner had a sandwich (I think it was meatless), and I had to sneak a bite… DELICIOUS. What really surprised me? How reasonably priced everything was! Fresh, flavorful food that doesn’t break the bank? Yes, please. Located in Plano, this is the kind of place you’ll want to visit again to try everything on the menu. Have you been to Mendocino Farms? What should I try next time?
